2968 – Release into Traffic – 2nd December 2023
A momentous milestone for the sole surviving Stanier 2-6-0 Mogul, entering revenue earning service for the Severn Valley Railway once again on Saturday 2nd December 2023. Hauling The Enchanted Express train between Bridgnorth and Highley over the whole weekend. In true festive spirit a frosty mist, and a light scattering of snow on the Sunday. Created a suitably dramatic atmosphere for the return of the Mighty Mogul!
