Overhaul update
The “trunnions” or brackets that are mounted under the cab for the braking system removed by the Tuesday volunteers ready for cleaning and painting.
Our tender in the shed being prepared to act as an emergency water carrier along with the tender from 75069 and a tank wagon as the Bridgnorth Reverse Osmosis plant has failed so locos can only water at Kidderminster.
Finally a shot of the boiler, still wrapped in chains, to illustrate the counter balancing weights (un-machined piston castings and a coupling) attached to the front tube plate now that the smokebox has been removed which will allow safe lifting of the boiler when necessary.
