Further work by the Tuesday Gang has removed all the rivets in rear of the last cross stretcher; those ahead of it have still to be tackled.
The angle brackets for the hind buffer beam have also been released and are now held by bolts only.
With the pony truck removed, whole new areas to be de-greased, cleaned, prepared and painted!

Setting up the boring machine on the left hand cylinder. This is the part of the operation that requires the skill as it must be absolutely central across the face of the cylinder and in line with the cylinder centre line.
With the boring machine correctly aligned, the job begins. It’s now time for the machine to do the work and the operator to have a rest.
Our tender and that from 75069 outside the workshop, still coupled together and acting as a water reservoirs while the Bridgnorth reverse-osmosis system is out of action.
